General Comments: While I have to admit that Sam has always been my
favourite female character on Stargate, I've always been extremely impressed
with Janet as a character, and Teryl Rothery as an actress. She does a
wonderful job keeping the more difficult male characters in line, and often
steals the scenes she is involved in.
Spoiler Comments: The wonderful role of the character, and the acting
skills of Teryl, have only been demonstrated more so in the Season 7 episode
"Lifeboat". While obviously intended as a Daniel centric
episode, this turned out to be a tour-de-force for the character of Janet, and
Teryl completely stole the show with her impassioned and brilliant acting.
I will be very sad to see what appears to be the certain departure of the
character, and wish Teryl all the best for whatever she moves to next - you
certainly have talent to be very successful!

General Comments: The character of Janet Fraiser is always a pleasure

to notice. Jack and Sam may have been the more popular but Janet kept right up

Spoiler Comments: Well if the worst comes to the worst and it is true,
well you can always hope that in good Stargate fashion she can be brought
back....or for the fact that she may not really be dead (as it says in the
spoiler, she was only reported to be dead by another soldier, maybe I'm just
living in hope....or denial, who can say!)
Anyway, if she does go, I will be saddened, but I am sure that the writers know
what they are doing, and I am just soooooo glad that Teryl has graced my
television for so many years. :o)

General Comments: This site is wonderful with a lot to offer! My compliments to all who have had a hand in setting up, and maintaining it!
My first Janet experience was the Hathor episode, and from that point on I was hooked. I didn't realize until recently that the online community supporting her was as strong as it is. Teryl is a very beautiful and talented actress. She possesses that rare gift of being able to wrap herself up in any character's situation/emotion and make the audience feel it right along with her. I look forward to watching her career develop now and in the future.
Spoiler Comments: When Michael Shanks decided to leave the show his character was written off, in such a way that allowed you to accept the evolution of where he had come from, and was sent to. Through personal experience I know that writers can sometimes loose sight of the big picture, and wrap themselves up in where they want their writing to go instead of HOW it should go in order to get there. I will be deeply saddened to see Janet leave the show, but if it is done well and with the proper respect to her character it will be easier to accept (I am still keeping hope alive that the writers with their supposed unlimited creativity will surprise us all!). It is one thing to kill someone to display their life and sacrifices as a heroic event. It is entirely another to neglect the needs of a show as a whole for the benefit of one/two good episodes. We fans like our female heroes hale and hearty at the end of the day! Maybe someone should send the writers some links to the backlash surrounding the demise of certain warrior princess. Janet's no Xena but then, Xena was never a Napoleonic Power Monger!

letters, artwork, casing the Lifetime network for movies you're in...
Some actresses have beauty, some have talent, you have been blessed with both.

General Comments: The character Janet Fraiser is one of the best
characters on Stargate SG-1. She has a spark, and a humor that is fun to watch,
and I would give anything to find a doctor with her bedside manner. Teryl
Rothery is also an excellent actress who has breathed incredible life into a
character who began as merely a side character, but has become as important, if
not more so, than the main characters.
Spoiler Comments: Janet Fraiser will definitely be a character that will
be missed if she gets killed off for good. I will more than likely completely
loose interest in Stargate SG-1 considering Janet Fraiser was so interesting I
kept coming back for more. And yeah, I get a little giddy when I see the name
Teryl Rothery pop up on the bottom of the screen, only because I know that there
is going to be at least ONE stand out performance that contains so many layers
that it takes more than one viewing to catch it all. If they can bring back
Daniel Jackson, a character who I didn't even miss, then they can bring back
Janet Fraiser, and a woman who has put her heart and soul into the show Stargate
SG-1. If they don't, they WILL lose a fan. So, if Teryl Rothery ever reads this,
good luck in all you do, I know I'll be on the constant look out for all your
future projects!
